Incident Report for Linode
Postmortem

Between 10/30/2022 and 11/6/2022, we were alerted to connectivity issues leading to intermittent packet loss and connection timeouts in our London data center. While investigating a fix, we continued to triage the issue as needed to limit the impact to customers. On 11/6, we applied preventive measures that we believe should resolve the immediate issue. We've identified the underlying cause of these problems and are currently working on additional network upgrades.

Once this work is complete, we plan to post a more detailed postmortem on what happened and the measures we've taken to prevent it from recurring. We apologize for the inconvenience that this sustained incident caused, and your patience is appreciated as we continue to work through implementing these network upgrades.

We are continuing to monitor this situation to ensure that it remains stable. If you are still experiencing connectivity issues, please open a Support ticket describing the problem. Including an MTR report with the options `mtr -rwbzc 100 $linodeIP` in your ticket will help expedite investigation. It will also be helpful to include a MTR report from your London Linode to your local IP address by running `mtr -rwbzc 100 $homeIP` from the Linode.

At this time we have been able to correct the issues affecting connectivity in our Lindon data center and we have not received additional reports regarding connectivity issues.
